Amit Sharma, DCP Delhi Police: Complete Profile and Details

Amit Sharma is an IPS officer from 2010 batch of AGUMT cadre. He is currently posted as DCP of Shahadara, North East Delhi. Ever since taking charge as DCP, he has been seen as taking initiative to improve police public contacts.

In an unfortunate incident, Amit Sharma was brutally thrashed by some goons, who have turned out to be protesters against Citizen Amendment Act (CAA).

It is alleged that he was dragged out of his car and was beaten blue and black by rod and hockey sticks. Some policemen rushed to the spot and with the help of supporters of CAA rescued him. He was immediately rushed to Max Hospital, Patparganj for treatment. He is in ICU and said to be quite critical.
