-         Amitabh Gupta had issued an approval letter in favour of 23 family members of Wadhavan allowing them to go to Mahabaleshwar. The family wanted to enjoy picnic during the lockdown. 

-         Wadhavan family is linked to PMC and Yes Bank scam. ED has issued lookout notice against them. CBI is investigating against them. And, a corrupt officer like Amitabh Gupta found helping them.

-         It is also possible that Gupta had done this on the order of his political masters. It is high time for him to disclose the name, if that is the case.
-         Amitabh Gupta, the 1992 batch Maharashtra cadre IPS officer, was sent on compulsory leave at that time. Now, he has again been appointed and has been given plum posting.
