- Muthappa had entered the underworld by killing MP Jairaj, the then king of Mafia world of Karnataka. You will hardly listen to this kind of story where a bank manager becomes the mafia by directly killing the then most notorious criminal.
- Muthappa had also been arrested. In fact, during a court hearing, he was attacked. Five bullets were sprayed on his body. And, surprisingly, he had survived that brutal attack. He was also once extradited by UAE to India. CBI and Karnataka Police were finding evidences against him, but it is believed RAW helped him in lieu of some information on Afghanishtan.
- It is his relationship with RAW that made Muthappa made a statement that he was always a patriot and had helped Indian operations in many countries.
